He won three competitive Grammy’s, received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement at age 36, and has been inducted into multiple music halls of fame.

3. Michael Jackson

Michael Joseph Jackson dances to #3 on my list. He was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actor. He is widely regarded as the “King of Pop”. He broke through all racial barriers; his performances were exhilarating, his dance moves iconic and his music unequaled in its reach. He is easily the greatest performer ever.

His album “Thriller” is the best selling album of all time with over 65 million units sold. He is the total package, singer, songwriter, dancer and performer.

4. Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd was an English rock band formed in London in 1965. They achieved international acclaim with their progressive and psychedelic music. Distinguished by their philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, extended compositions, and elaborate live shows, they are one of the most commercially successful and influential groups in popular music history.

The band was founded by students Syd Barrette on guitar and lead vocals, Nick Mason on drums, Roger Waters on bass and vocals, and Richard Wright on keyboards and vocals. Some of their successful albums are: The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967), The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977), The Wall (1979) and The Final Cut (1983). Robert Nesta Marley was a Jamaican singer and songwriter. Considered one of the pioneers of reggae, his musical career was marked by blending elements of reggae, ska, and rock steady, as well as forging a smooth and distinctive vocal and songwriting style. Marley’s contributions to music increased the visibility of Jamaican music worldwide, and made him a global figure in popular culture and one of the greatest artists.

Marley began his professional musical career in 1963, after forming Bob Marley & The Wailers. The group released at least 11 studio albums and attained international success and forged a reputation as touring artists. In 1974 The Wailers disbanded and Marley went ahead to release solo material. His debut studio album Natty Dread (1974) received positive reception, as did its follow-up Rastaman Vibration (1976). A few months after the album’s release, Marley survived an assassination attempt at his home in Jamaica, which prompted him to permanently relocate to London soon afterwards.
